Three Whiskey's Angus Griffin named on list of top 100 business developers in UK

8 November 2019 11:32am

The top 100 business developers in UK agencies has been revealed as The Drum publish the BD100 list for 2019.

Angus Griffin, UK New Business Lead for Three Whiskey is one of the top 100 business developers named on the list. As an integral part of the agency's Client Services team, Angus has spent the last 12 months adding real value to clients in the form of commercial impact. He sees business development as a far more fluid role that does not stop at the sale but extends into on-boarding, Account Management and delivery, and doesn't stop until the agency has delivered their promised result, whether this be at the end of a three month project or a long term retainer. His awareness of this has been a fundamental pillar for winning new business for Three Whiskey.

"I truly believe there is no secret sauce and everyone has a different approach to winning business. I think that if you are able to be true to yourself always, exhibit the qualities and values that you believe in and always put the client first, people realise that you are doing what you believe to be right - and that's a powerful proposition."

~Angus Griffin

Founded last year to shine a much-deserved spotlight on the unsung heroes driving growth in creative agencies, the BD100 recognises the best in the business of business development. You can see this year's 100, chosen following an open nominations process and a public vote, in full below.

The list is the brainchild of Jody Osman (managing director of Upfront, part of the Propeller Group) and Richard McHardy (founder of The McHardy Collective), who have partnered with The Drum to bring attention to these crucial – but rarely publicly recognised – talents within agencies.

Gordon Young, editor-in-chief of The Drum, said: "We all recognise that new business is the lifeblood of any successful agency, and yet the people responsible for delivering it so rarely get the public acclaim they deserve.
