Virtual Fundraiser is a Success for SO Marketing

The team at SO Marketing cycled over 300 miles in 24 hours on the 28th September, raising £1115 for Cancer Research UK

As part of Cancer Research’s Cycle 300 scheme this September, the agency decided to put a spin on the challenge and complete it as a team. A bike was set up in the creative studio and the event was live-streamed over Facebook. Using social media channels to involve the local community and its clients, SO Marketing kept everyone updated on the team’s progress throughout the night.

With around 13 members of the team taking part, everyone took it in turns throughout the 24 hours and hit the goal of 300 miles ahead of schedule at 7:00 AM! Carrying on for the last 3 hours, the SO Marketing team cycled a total of 336.5 miles.

The local community and clients were incredibly generous with donations and checking back in on social media to keep the spirit of the event going. The SO Marketing team would like to thank Autobrite Direct LTD, Capital Crime and Purple Surgical for sponsoring the event and helping to make it happen. With charity donations falling during the pandemic, the agency felt it was important to help out.
