BackgroundA leading wholesale distributor of hand and power tools, Toolbank sells through a network of independent retailers in the UK and Ireland. For 27 years, it has implemented one of the largest B2B Christmas Marketing campaigns in the industry.

An optional campaign for retailers, it includes carefully selected products and offers, many exclusive - plus marketing tools which help promote the products to customers. Over the last 10 years we have developed this campaign as a brand in its own right - ‘Real Deals for You’ - to build awareness, loyalty and trust.

SolutionIn 2014 Toolbank wanted to ensure that RD4Y was highly visible online and offline UK-wide. This involved creating a full suite of marketing tools, to encourage retailers to sign up for the promotion, and then help them sell products to their consumers. Including in-store POS materials, leaflets, brand toolkits, image libraries and advert templates. We then developed a new RD4Y website and created a full range of digital marketing tools - website banners, QR code links, social media support and HTML email templates.

ResultsThe campaign was taken up by 2,000+ stockists, a 5% increase on last year, and Toolbank is now on target to reach highest-ever sales. The new website saw significant traffic, with visitor numbers tripling over previous years - while Twitter activity saw a 25% increase in relevant and engaged followers since July.
