S4M appoints Thomas Adhumeau as General Counsel

S4M has appointed Thomas Adhumeau as General Counsel to lead its compliance efforts in the face of stricter international regulation on data protection and user privacy.

With ten years’ in the legal industry under his belt, Adhumeau worked for 4 years at ad tech company AppNexus. He joined as Associate General Counsel in 2016 before quickly becoming VP – Senior Associate General Counsel. His stint at the company gave him a deep understanding of the digital space and a vast experience in the online advertising technology industry, which he now brings to S4M.

Adhumeau is an active member of the ad tech privacy and regulation scene. As Vice Chair of the IAB Europe’s Data Protection Authority Outreach Working Group, he works with organization members to coordinate interactions between the ad tech industry and regulators, and to promote the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. He is also part of the steering group for the latter - in charge of creating an industry-standard GDPR compliance tool.

His role at S4M will be to ensure the company adheres to data privacy compliance regulations, but also to help the industry and regulators develop a clear guidance that will work for both ad tech and users.
