Flow brings Little Treats Bakery to life
Flow Creative, a motion design and animation agency, has created an animated video for Little Treats Bakery to support its consumer launch by bringing the range to life online.
The brief for the traditional children’s biscuits, which are hand-iced or can be iced at home, required Flow to awaken these snacks in a fun, friendly and playful manner.
Based on the concept of the biscuits coming to life when the icing was applied Flow’s 2D animation team managed to inject real character and personality into the family-friendly brand.
Karl Doran, creative director at Flow, said: “This was a really fun brief to work on as the Little Treats products are a range of characters that lend themselves perfectly to adding life to them by introducing animation. The end result is a really nice effect. With their facial expressions and body movement animated they have a real likeability and will definitely encourage people to notice and remember the brand.”
He added: “Working with lots of product shots and still images can be tricky, but the photographer did a great job getting us lots of image assets to work with, then the process is similar to creating stop-motion animation - combining sequential images to create the illusion of life. It can be a painstaking process and requires a lot of attention to detail but our team has lots of experience and we have a great space where we can all work together to bring our ideas to life.”
The end result is a fun, quirky and colourful animation that adds real character to the Little Treats Bakery brand.
The animation debuted at the Lunch Show (at Excel in London) and is featured on Little Treats Bakery’s website as well as across a number of its social channels.
