Following the successful PR launch of R;pple in 2021, communications agency PrettyGreen and suicide prevention charity R;pple have agreed to extend their pro-bono partnership as part of the agency’s Creativity for Good vision.

The partnership sees PrettyGreen lead on the strategic and creative development and activation of a new communications campaign which raises awareness of suicide prevention in the workplace - with media relations and social media support from R;pple’s agency partners Broadcast Revolution and The Good Influence.

Following the partnership, PrettyGreen has also become the first UK PR agency to ensure the charity’s revolutionary digital intervention tool is available to all employees via browser extension and/ or Wi-Fi Integration, as part of PrettyGreen Group’s employee health and wellbeing programme.

PrettyGreen first supported R;pple to assist on the charity’s launch on World Suicide Prevention Day in September 2021. R;pple was created by founder Alice Hendy following the death of her 21-year old brother, Josh, to suicide in November 2020. Having discovered that Josh had been researching techniques to take his own life via harmful internet searches, Alice created R;pple, an online interceptive tool, to ensure more help and support is provided to individuals who are conducting searches relating to self-harm or suicide. Less than a year later R;pple has been rolled out to international markets and both R;pple and Alice have been recognised by multiple awards and organisations including “Platinum Champion” status from Buckingham Palace as part of the Queen’s Jubilee honours.

Talking about the partnership, PrettyGreen Managing Partner Lucy Mart said: “We are so pleased to extend our relationship with Alice and the R;pple team at a pivotal point in the charity’s journey. Alice is the most inspiring person you’ll ever meet. The progress she has made in such a short space of time is staggering and we are humbled to be able to play a part in her mission and create a Less Ordinary campaign to raise awareness of Josh’s story and the importance of suicide prevention. As an employer we’re also using our partnership as an opportunity to review our employee support scheme. Installing R;pple onto all business devices and Wi-Fi is a very simple but potentially live-saving action and something we encourage all our industry peers to do.”

PrettyGreen will work into Sheeraz Gulsher who volunteers as R;pple PR Consultant and Alice Hendy Ripple Founder.
