To be named part of the BIMA 100 is such an honour. The BIMA 100 celebrates the most influential, pioneering and change making people in the UK’s digital industry - the movers and shakers in tech, if you will. Pragmatic is very pleased to announce that its CEO and founder, David Lockie has been selected by an independent panel of industry experts to join this year’s 100.
David was named in the BIMA 100 CEO & Leaders category. This accolade has been awarded to David following a year in which he introduced a series of Martech events called Pace and has spoken at a wide variety of global conferences, from WordCamp Europe in Paris to WooConf in Seattle. This past year David also founded Dcent; a company that believes blockchain technologies represent the next revolution in human history. Because of his passion for blockchain, David also became a BIMA co-chair for the Blockchain council.
The announcement was made at one of digital’s biggest nights of the year, held at London’s OXO Tower on the 8th of May.
Speaking about his nomination, David said: “It's lovely to be part of the BIMA community - a network of people who are dedicated to pushing forward the multi-faceted and ever-changing world of tech, and to using that tech to make our world a better place. The award is really a reflection on the amazing Pragmatic team, so I'd like to thank them all for coming on this journey with me. Onwards!”
“Tonight is about celebrating the people who are leading the industry right now,” explained BIMA Co-President Nat Gross. “It’s about the people we look up to, the visionary leaders and CEOs that can make our industry a better place. The people with the imagination, technical skill and creativity to take us forward; and the new talent that can keep our sector strong.
“When you look at the people in this year’s 100 – people like David - I think we’ve really outdone ourselves.”
