OMD UK appoints MD and Chief Client Experience Officer

OMD UK has made two senior appointments: Grant Burke as Managing Director and Kat De Keyser as Chief Client Experience Officer. Both will report to Laura Fenton, Chief Executive of OMD UK.

Burke joins from Carat, where he was client Managing Director and led accounts such as General Motors, Mastercard and Lionsgate.

He said: “During my time at Carat, I have really admired the work that I have seen OMD UK produce. The momentum they have built over the last few years with new-business wins, client retention, award-winning work and an inspiring agency culture is amazing.”

Fenton added: “I’m delighted to welcome Grant to OMD UK. He stood out during the recruitment process for his incredible energy and drive and brings with him a passion for industry-leading work and, importantly, the people and capabilities that will get us there”

Clare Chapman, Chief Executive of Carat UK, said: "At Carat we truly value our people and fully support professional growth. Grant has been an outstanding member of the Carat team and will be much missed by all. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank him for his superb contributions to the business and sincerely wish him all the very best in the new role."

De Keyser's appointment is a promotion. She joined OMD UK as a planner in 2006 and was most recently managing partner, playing a key role on the Mercedes and Lidl accounts.

She said: “I’m excited to step into my new role which will be focused on evolving OMD UK’s brilliant client offering to be best in class for today and tomorrow. I’m passionate about the role we can play supporting and challenging our clients to help them navigate the new landscape.”

Fenton added: “I’m thrilled to elevate talent from within our agency. Kat is an incredibly astute and strategic leader who is relentless in her desire to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients.”

OMD UK recently won pitches for Comparethemarket, and retained Channel 4 for Omnicom Media Group.
