Andrea Wieseke becomes Managing Director Switzerland to lead the company’s business in the Swiss ad industry

London, 25 October 2022 - Ogury, the global leader in personified advertising, today announced it is further expanding in EMEA with a new Swiss office. The company’s regional activities will be led by Andrea Wieseke, Managing Director Switzerland based in Zurich.

Less than a decade after its inception, Ogury has become the industry’s go-to partner for personified advertising - an ID-less and cookieless approach that leverages personas instead of users’ identity, and the destination where they consume content rather than users themselves, in full respect of their privacy. The company’s offering is ground-breaking in the Swiss ecosystem, with many brands, agencies and publishers already partnering with Ogury.

Andrea Wieseke will spearhead Ogury’s business operations in this market from the Zurich office, launching Ogury’s unique offer in the Swiss market and showcasing why personification is key to ensuring data privacy and a better user experience. She will report to Adam Rubach, VP New Markets at Ogury.

With 17 years of experience in AdTech and business development, Wieseke started her career as Account Manager at Google, before becoming Senior Industry Analyst in charge of agencies’ relationships. She then went on to work for advertising agencies QUISMA GmbH, Omnicom Media Group, MediaCom and Carat, where she developed business-driving innovation and new partner relationships. Most recently, Wieseke was Managing Director Switzerland at advertising agency Dentsu, where she led their long-term development and scaled their offering in the Swiss market.

Ogury has chosen to open an office in Switzerland due to the country’s tremendous potential and projected growth, with digital ad spend standing at €2.77 billion in 2021, up from €1.86 billion a year earlier. What’s more, by 2027, 46% of total spend in this market will be generated through mobile and 82% through programmatic advertising.

“Ogury has outstanding products and performance, especially when it comes to insights and customer surveys,” explained Andrea Wieseke, Managing Director Switzerland, Ogury. “This is something that can help advertisers better understand their target audience and generate valuable reach, but that is still missing in today’s Swiss industry. Thanks to our market-leading approach, I am convinced that Ogury will become a trusted partner for clients and agencies, ensuring quality, delivering insights, and, most of all, driving value and performance.”

The Swiss chapter follows the opening of Ogury’s Nordics office this September, led by Jesper Laumand as Managing Director, Nordics based in Copenhagen. With offices in 16 countries around the world and over 500 talents, the company continues to build up its teams and reach in 2022, accelerating its expansion worldwide.
