Thanks to COVID, only 25,000 attendees (plus 30,000 cut-outs) were allowed into Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium for Super Bowl LV, and safety precautions severely limited on-site interactions between brands and fans

But our Momentum US team still helped Verizon tell its 5G story—by taking 40M people to the Super Bowl!

The Verizon 5G Stadium in Fortnite was inspired by Raymond James Stadium, but taken to the next level. We partnered with NFL stars and the best builders in Fortnite and built on Verizon 5G Ultra-Wideband. The experience featured five game modes and celebrity tournaments, all played and live-streamed over Verizon 5G.

The 5G Stadium connected football fans and gamers while showcasing 5G’s low latency, an attractive feature for gamers and e-sportsters. Players tried five football-themed games, embarked on scavenger hunts and encountered NFL stars dropping into gameplay. Players created content, recreated their favorite Super Bowl moments and posted screenshots of their victories, tagged #5GBuiltRight on Twitter.
