We took our Drones to BIMA Digital Day

October 30, 2014

We recently had the pleasure of attending the BIMA Digital Day conference in Bournemouth, where Lab MD Jonny Tooze had the opportunity to share his wisdom with 500 students aged 14-19.

We met some amazingly talented students, and even found our self some new drone pilots! It's great to see so many teenagers interested and passionate about the digital industry ranging from future drone pilots, to computer game designers, budding digital artists and programmers.

After listening to industry professionals including David Burton from Redweb, Mike Hawkyard from Amuzo Games and David Ford from Silicon South we learnt more than a thing or two...

  • Have faith in your creativity
  • You only need one good idea to make it
  • You can never be too overqualified in digital
  • Marketing yourself is key. Don't be shy, ask questions, be confident & work hard
  • And most importantly... Don't do what's practical, do what you love!

If you missed Jonny's talk on Drones, here's a brief overview...
