Who?

Breakout alcohol brand, Big Gin Distillery, launched in 2020 to energise the alcohol space. The playful brand has two arms to the business, Big Grin branded gin and vodka, as well as a contract distilling service.

Why?

Big Grin Distillery came to Kitty requiring a trusted partner to deliver a website design and build within four weeks to enable them to open a new revenue stream in time for the Christmas trading period.

With as much energy as their brand name suggests, Kitty’s challenge was to build a website for Big Grin Distillery that was true to brand, alongside a technical solution turned around at speed without compromising on quality.

How?

In order to bring the brand to life digitally and at speed, Kitty’s solution was to use BigCommerce to build a clean, feature-rich and easy-to-navigate webshop design to draw consumers in and reflect the brand’s “fun and young” credentials. This CMS was chosen with the client’s needs in mind, as the team would need the functionality to easily update the site with banners, and required a CMS that could provide logistical support.

In order to match functionality with flair, Kitty designed the site through a customised template with feature-rich and bespoke pages. The clean bold website was designed to bring the branding to life, as well as prioritising a clear user journey to purchase in order to drive sales. Bespoke pages including ‘Mixes for mixers’ were designed and built to house an immersive experience for customers seeking cocktail inspiration, achieved through integrating a Mixcloud embed.

Kitty designed and built the Big Grin Distillery website in under four weeks, successfully opening up a new revenue stream in time for the Christmas period and establishing a solid foundation for growth.
