Jellyfish drives creative vision forward with new appointment

by Hannah Dempsey

September 28, 2022

Jellyfish is excited to announce the appointment of Gabriela Lungu as VP Creative.

Lungu started her new position at Jellyfish earlier this month, assuming a creative leadership role to shape the creative output across several markets for the company’s top clients. She also joins the Jellyfish global creative leadership team responsible for driving the company’s creative vision and transformation.

“We’re constantly looking for amazing new creative talent and we’re really excited to welcome someone with Gabriela’s experience to our growing team”

~Paul Mead, Chief Strategic Officer, Jellyfish

Gabriela is an executive creative director with rare multidisciplinary expertise and a deep understanding of multi-platform thinking and techniques across the entire funnel, having worked successfully in top agencies specialised in brand advertising, social media, PR, experiential, activation, as well as client-side in digital and brand marketing.

Her most recent role with an agency was at VMLY&R Commerce UK, where she was responsible for global brands such as Diageo / Baileys / Guinness and Coca-Cola / Costa Coffee. Previously, she worked in London at TBWA, leading the creative work for Airbnb, as well as the launch of a new agency product (Disruption LIVE - creating ideas at the speed of culture) and at Weber Shandwick as the agency’s first Chief Creative Officer for the UK and EMEA.

Gabriela Lungu is multi-awarded and is often part of the jury for A-list creative competitions. She’s also a keynote speaker and trainer on all things creative, invited to major international industry events, including Cannes Lions School, D&AD Academy and the Festival of Marketing, and involved in several industry diversity initiatives.

“I’m genuinely excited to be part of this future-facing, new breed of global digital company that Jellyfish is, where platforms, culture and creativity converge. I’m delighted I have found a company with the culture and the people that I feel a strong affinity with. I cannot wait to see what we can achieve together.”

~Gabriela Lungu, the new Jellyfish VP Creative

She will be based at the company’s global headquarters in The Shard, London, UK
