Belvedere Vodka Launches Laolu Senbanjo 2018 Limited Edition Bottle During New York Fashion Week

Belvedere Vodka took fans through an exotic interactive fashion show to celebrate its launch of artist, Laolu Senbanjo’s 2018 Limited Edition bottle during New York Fashion Week at The Whitney Museum Of American Art in New York City. The experience was an iconic fashion moment where models and influencers wore Lalou’s custom designs painted by the artist himself. Guests were immersed in the story of Lalou’s partnership with the brand when the artist walked the runway himself telling the story of the collaboration. The painted story included representing the flavors and history of the brand include water, rye, naturalness, Poland and New York. Lalou and his apprentices, which included supermodels Helena Christensen, Nolan Funk and Martha Hunt mingled as living works of art throughout the night as guests enjoyed custom Belvedere Spritzes. Guests were also treated to an exhibit of the artists’ work and able to take custom photographs of moments of the show.
The brand and the artist both share a joint mission to reveal the unexpected beauty in the world. The purpose of Laolu’s art is to look beneath a person’s surface (skin) to reveal their inner-soul and personality through body paint. Through his art, he uncovers the beauty within each subject. Laolu’s custom bottle is his interpretation of the beauty, nuance and complexity of the liquid within the Belvedere bottle. The flowing design with sharp edges represent the water and rye working together to produce dimension and taste. This limited-edition bottle is part of (Belvedere)Red campaign, which for the 8th year supports the a global fund to help eliminate HIV/AIDS in Africa. Before being an artist, Laolu was a human rights attorney in Nigeria focusing on AIDS atrocities against women, so this cause has a very special place in his heart and mind.
