Reaching New Customers With A Truly Original Approach: A Charity Campaign Run Exclusively On Twitch
To ensure a consistent flow of donations all year round, Shelter asked us to come up with some novel ways to target a younger demographic and provide them with a truly original fundraising journey.
We partnered with Twitch gamers, who played some of their favourite games and let their audience choose how they played them, in return for donations. This was a test campaign for Shelter which they hope to expand in the coming year. Over 6 hours of live branded gameplay, our creators reached over 38,000 people on Twitch, who tuned in to watch our gamers play live and donated over £2,000 between them.
This was the one of the first times Twitch has ever been used to raise charitable donations and Shelter were thrilled that we were able to generate such a high view to donation rate: 7p donated, per view vs. their target of 15p per view.
