Increasing brand exposure and case numbers for a legal client

Forbes Solicitors are a full service law firm based in the North West of England and operating nationally. Offering expert legal advice and support to businesses and individuals, Forbes Solicitors are ranked as a Legal 500 Top Tier Firm and a Chambers and Partners Leading firm. Hitsearch support Forbes Solicitors with a range of legal marketing services.


As a specialist legal marketing, PR and SEO consultancy, we were tasked with trying to achieve media coverage for the brand, national and local, using public data sources to create a story around a service that Forbes Solicitors offer to clients. This was part of our strategy for increasing law firm brand awareness.


Using the national list of unclaimed estates, which is held by the Treasury and updated daily, we dug through the data (approx. 8,000 entries) and sorted the unclaimed estates into regions, towns and cities to build a story with both national and regional angles. We issued a national and regional releases, each containing bespoke stats and with specifically tailored communications, to various media contacts across the UK as part of this lawyer marketing campaign.


The story (and client brand) was featured and discussed on a BBC Radio Lancashire programme.
