Vizeum, has been awarded the UK media planning and buying account for global humanitarian organisation UNICEF

The decision follows a competitive pitch process in which UNICEF was seeking an agency partner that could provide transformational thinking and growth through its communications strategy.

Vizeum will now work with UNICEF to help optimise ways of working and deliver strategic thought leadership that supports its focus on tackling the biggest crises facing children worldwide, whether that be the impact of Coronavirus, the catastrophic effects of climate change or ongoing conflict in places like Yemen.

The account will also transition with Vizeum into iProspect later this year as dentsu continues its ongoing integration of the two agencies to create a new proposition for the UK marketplace.

The pitch process was handled by MediaSense with 11 competing agencies involved.

“We were looking for an agency that could help us unlock sustainable growth and support our mission," said Mike Flynn, Deputy Executive Director of Individual Giving, Unicef. "In Vizeum, we firmly believe that we have found that partner. Throughout the process they really showcased their ability to not just deliver on the challenges we set but to also connect with the broader aims and ethos of our organisation. We’re really looking forward to seeing the positive impact that they will have on our work.”

“We’re so proud to have been invited to partner with such an important brand," said Mike McCoy, Chief Executive, Vizeum UK. "UNICEF’s work in protecting the rights of children everywhere is a genuine inspiration to us all. We hope our shared values and collective passion for meaningful progression helps move UNICEF closer to their vision of a world fit for every child. We can’t wait to get started.”

UNICEF works in the world’s toughest places to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents – and to protect the rights of every child, everywhere. Across more than 190 countries and territories, we do whatever it takes to help children survive, thrive and fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.
