The main aim of our work together was the reconstruction of their existing developer documentation website, using Drupal. The original site consisted of static pages; they chose Drupal as the new platform to accommodate future expansion of content volume and site functionality.

The work involved taking source material in markdown format and transferring this to a database. Additionally, they redesigned the site. We handled the data transport, the coding of the new site to fit their Drupal style sheet, and the fine-tuning that was required once the site had been assembled.

Tony Smith, Senior Tech Writer and Project Manager, said:

“We knew we needed a Drupal specialist, so we assembled a short-list of UK-based suppliers who had worked on comparable sites to ours, or sites whose complexity would exceed ours.”

On why we were chosen, he said it was a mix of factors:

"...Cost being one, but we particularly felt there was a good fit in terms of approach and outlook. Code Enigma understood our requirements and goals, and the technical challenges that would need to be overcome to meet those goals.”

He did say he would insist on more up-front preparation discussions and clearer timetabling, but self-admittedly stated that's more a result of his own learning about how such projects unfold than any dissatisfaction at the time with the process, so we’re happy to post that as advice for anyone else looking to start a project.

The team had no complaints during the course of their project and said without doubt they would recommend us!
