Haysto rejects the ‘one size fits all’ approach to mortgages, instead providing a personalised alternative to high street banks and automated online mortgage advisors. Often people who have bad credit or are self-employed get turned down by their bank or by online comparison sites – the computer quite literally says ‘No’.

Many lenders will only accept mortgage applications from people who have excellent credit ratings and a predictable, consistent income. But a lot of people don’t have perfect credit ratings or are self-employed with a complex income. Or both. Haysto makes mortgages possible for people who have the odds stacked against them, or have been told they won’t be able to get one.

It’s no mean feat to make a finance brand that’s friendly for people who are having a tough time. The Haysto brand is revolutionising the typically uncreative and confusing world of mortgages. By stripping away the jargon, we’ve made the complexity of mortgages accessible, friendly, and easy to understand. The tone of voice and content has the sole purpose of empowering the customer. Not making them feel stupid. We have supported the successful launch with data-led personas, design direction, content strategy, and production. Our former Head of Design, Mike Hillman, created the brand identity and website. Now we’re moving on to ongoing search engine optimisation, content marketing, content creation, social media and digital PR.
