Davidstow Cheddar gives the Easter bunny a cheesy twist

How do you advertise cheese at a time of year where everybody is focused on chocolate? We gave the iconic Easter bunny a cheesy twist with this eye-catching and mouth-watering ad, tactically positioned outside Sainsbury's and Tesco to put Davidstow Cheddar front of mind with hungry shoppers.
Loyalty and repeat purchase are strong for Davidstow, just like its premium cheddar, so advertising aims to drive brand awareness and trial, with the confidence that new consumers will convert.
All our work for the Client is inspired by the idea of 'elevating the everyday'. This creative takes a well-known Easter character - the rabbit - and transforms it into something irresistible to cheese lovers: a Welsh Rarebit. The ubiquitous bunny ears are instantly recognisable from afar, creating an immediate Easter connection; the cheesy twist demands a double-take and the copy quickly delivers the punchline - all in Davidstow's signature style, whetting the appetite and landing the brand identity in seconds.
The work is running over the Easter period outside Tesco and Sainsbury's superstores across the south of England, with special focus on Davidstow's south west heartland, to make the most of local brand affinity.
