We partnered up with Raypd, the world’s largest local payments network, to launch the epic Formula 0001: Rapyd Fintech Grand Prix across the globe and delivered some brilliant results

First question, what is a Hackathon? A Hackathon is a design sprint-like event, which rewards the fastest competitor with a hefty prize and the opportunity to turn their design pitch into reality.

Competitors of the Formula 0001: Rapyd Fintech Grand Prix were challenged to build a fintech or payments application in the quickest amount of time using the Raypd platform. The competition prizes were phenomenal:

● 2021 Porsche Taycan (or $250k cash) + F1 Experience for the winning team (4 people) + $2k spending allowance
● 3 x team F1 Experiences (4 people) + $2k spending allowance
● Flights to Dubai

Raypd partnered with Brave Bison to utilise our far-reaching expertise in social and paid media to drive direct sign-ups with a target of 1,000 from 40+ countries.

Our strategy centred around targeting coders and programmers with high level experience using software such as Java, Python and Ruby.

Our team led on the production of all creative assets for this campaign, which ran for a total of almost 6 weeks. We worked closely with the Raypd team to design assets that would deliver the right message at the right time, to the right people.

We implemented a complex cross-platform distribution campaign across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, LinkedIn and Reddit to announce the Hackathon to targeted audiences and increase brand awareness.

The campaign was a huge success, exceeding our targets by driving more than 1000+ signups and reaching a whopping 20 million people worldwide. The campaign generated a fantastic CTR of 2.8% and drove 4.6 million views across all platforms.
