This new video, featuring the musician INJA, is a collaboration between Bold Content and CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) a male suicide prevention charity. The two groups met at The Drum’s Do-It Day last November, which has resulted in numerous collaborations towards the vital topic of de-stigmatising mental health.

The Direct result of Do It Day 2017 was a the hugely successful #BestManProject which has seen participants such as Rio Ferdinand and Roman Kemp tell their best mate exactly how much they mean to them… on camera. The campaign aims to encourage men to support their friends in times of need, not just on their wedding day. Prince William also participated in a hugely popular video which has garnered major press attention: https://youtu.be/8472u_zED6E

INJA is a hugely versatile, underground musician. He creates music through a variety of genres, including spoken word poetry. He speaks out about any social issue he deems worthwhile--in this case, mental health and the importance of a smile.

Bold Content shot this video in INJA’s hometown of Cambridge. The poem reflects on how one person can warm up the world with a smile--during the cold winter months, especially after Christmas, it’s important to spread love and tolerance for humankind.

The piece was filmed on the Sony A7sII, using a Beholder DS1 handheld gimbal.

CALM is dedicated to preventing male suicide in the United Kingdom. You can find out more about them here.
