May 2, 2023
Anzu, the most advanced intrinsic in-game advertising solution, has announced the appointment of Nerissa MacDonald as EVP Global Sales.
MacDonald, an innovative global leader and industry veteran, has worked in regional and international roles for over 20 years and has experience leading global teams, strategy, consultation, and partnerships with brands, agencies, and tech partners. MacDonald will bring a wealth of knowledge to the role, having worked in leadership positions at Adform, Sizmek, and most recently, Meta, where she built and led diverse revenue-driving teams, managed complex re-orgs, new product launches, and global go-to-market programs internationally.
MacDonald has the perfect background to helm Anzu's global sales team with direct experience in various digital disciplines across the evolving metaverse and creator space, including adtech, programmatic, video, data, and mobile. She is also a passionate advocate and active ally of Women in Tech and the Black community, leading impactful initiatives for companies and the wider industry.
On the new appointment, Anzu Co-Founder and CEO Itamar Benedy said: “We are thrilled to have Nerissa join the team at a pivotal moment in our company’s journey. In-game is at a stage where brands and agencies take it seriously, and we are increasingly seeing it becoming a larger part of digital ad budgets. With Anzu serving as the go-to solution for brands globally and Nerissa leading our global sales team, I’m incredibly excited for what the future holds”.
“As the demand for innovation in digital advertising continues to rise and with the advent of digital disruption within the gaming industry, brands now have a significant opportunity to connect with their target audiences in an organic, premium, and impactful way,” said MacDonald. “Being well-positioned to drive this change, Anzu is leading with groundbreaking patents and viewability metrics for brands to safely bridge the gap between physical and digital advertising worlds. I am thrilled to join Itamar and the team at this critical moment in the company's global growth”.
MacDonald will be based in London with the growing UK team, which includes its newly appointed Creative Director, Simon Sworn, who joined from Wunderman Thompson, part of WPP group, to head up its creative department, which offers a range of creative services to clients looking to adapt their visuals for the 3D gaming world. Anzu also recently appointed Kyle Kramer as Senior Insights & Research Manager to lead Anzu’s data and insights offering.
