This year, the campaign theme for International Women's Day is #ChooseToChallenge

To mark the occasion, we asked the Alight Media team how they will help to forge a more inclusive world and #ChooseToChallenge. Here’s what they said:

“I choose to challenge the stigma surrounding part-time work”

“I choose to make an active commitment to be more inclusive when forming project groups and when planning social activities in professional environments”

“I choose to challenge gender stereotypes and bias”

“My commitment this year is to speak out against men who are guilty of saying or doing things that are sexist, misogynistic or plain rude about women”

“I choose to challenge the gender pay gap”

“I choose to challenge the stereotype around flexible working and show how it really can be beneficial to all”

“I choose to challenge myself by asking for reverse mentoring”

“My view and my personal challenge is ‘to always be the best I can be’. I may be a woman but my challenge to myself on a daily basis is to be the best parent, best colleague, friend, wife, daughter I can be”

International Women's Day, celebrated annually on March 8th, is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

Alight Media will be celebrating the team’s answers through its International Women’s Day campaign, running across the media owner's portfolio of over 250 digital screens over the coming week.
