Alight Media, the fastest growing UK out-of-home media owner, has today announced the hire of a new head of direct sales

Jacqui Carreau will lead Alight Media’s growing direct sales team positioned across the UK.

Carreau brings a wealth of out-of-home experience, having previously spent nearly eight years at Clear Channel, in roles such as head of south and area sales manager for the South West. Prior to that, she spent nearly 12 years at Newsquest, focused on Somerset and Devon.

Ged Glover, chief revenue officer, Alight Media, said: “Direct sales is a critical part of our business, so we are really pleased to welcome Jacqui to the team, who brings with her such impressive industry experience and knowledge. As we move towards brighter times for out-of-home, her appointment will put us in a strong position to continue the growth of our direct team, supporting SMEs as we have done throughout the pandemic.”

Last year Alight Media launched its SME Generator programme, designed to help SMEs overcome the biggest barriers that prevent them from accessing advertising during challenging economic periods – cashflow, creative guidance and expert advice on how best to reach both new and existing customers. In 2020, the business supported over 300 SMEs.

Jacqui Carreau, incoming head of direct sales, Alight Media, said: “Alight Media has really impressed me, both in terms of growth and ambition, but also in the way the team runs the business. I’m over the moon to join a company with a clear mission to make out-of-home work harder for advertisers of all shapes and sizes, with a real focus on supporting SMEs build back better. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Alight Media will continue its high growth rollout of out-of-home sites throughout 2021. The business currently has over 1,450 sites across 90+ UK towns, reaching over 12 million adults every fortnight.

Carreau starts her new role on Monday 22 February, reporting into chief revenue officer Ged Glover.
