Student and Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai wants you to meet eight young women — an aspiring human rights lawyer, robotics engineer and political activist to name a few.

In Malala Fund’s new YouTube series Roll Call, created in partnership with creative agency Across the Pond in London, these girls show us what life is like for young women around the world.

Malala Fund breaks down the barriers that still keep 130 million girls around the world from going to school. This year they want to bring the same energy and inspiration to their YouTube channel with Roll Call: eight stories of young women battling social, economic and cultural forces that stand between them and the education they deserve.

Producer Matt Mager says “We’ve worked with Malala Fund before. But this time, our task is not just to make films about extraordinary students. It’s to help our narrators create the stories they believe need to be told; stories about genocide, poverty, discrimination and how girls’ education is one of the most powerful tools we have to overcome those things.”
