Medical Travel Compared appoint Accord Marketing to drive digital activity
July 7, 2021
Medical Travel Compared have taken their relationship with Accord Marketing in another direction; recruiting the travel experts and digital specialists to improve their PPC strategy and shape their return to market.
Amidst the resuming of overseas travel in May, Medical Travel Compared invited a number of agencies to pitch to take ownership of their PPC account after an inactive period during COVID-19. After a competitive process, Accord was quickly appointed.
Accord presented a comprehensive and compelling proposal: identifying key areas of digital opportunity by recognising the new heightened weight of travel insurance in the consideration stage of the path-to-purchase for travellers.
This recent win reignites a previously successful working relationship; pre-pandemic, Accord was responsible for Medical Travel Compared’s email and print activity, albeit against a very different travel landscape. However, as travel slowly but surely emerges from the pandemic doldrums, Maria Payne, Accord’s chief client officer, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we have expanded our service remit with such a fantastic and well-known brand. We are looking forward to supporting their growth ambitions as people begin to reconnect with the world after months spent in isolation.”
The campaign went live at the beginning of June and Accord is confident that, in time, activity will spread to social and display, reaching travellers seeking trusted cover for their eagerly anticipated trips away.
Medical Travel Compared are just as excited for the journey ahead, with managing director, Tommy Lloyd adding: “we’re excited to expand our relationship with Accord as we look forward to a brighter time for the travel industry. Helping our customers navigate the new challenges travel presents remains our number one priority.”
