MIPTV, the largest global TV marketplace for all genres and all screens, kicks off in Cannes next week and Found Remote will once again be on the ground.

The marketplace is primarily for buyers and sellers to transact, but as the nature of the TV business continues to evolve, it has grown to become so much more.

A market about formats and content must adapt to address the impact of virtual reality, digital, streaming, and social platforms, which is why the theme of this year’s MIPTV is “The New Frontiers of Storytelling.” Keynote speakers who will address this topic are not just studio and production chiefs, but include David “Shingy” Shing (AOL’s Digital Prophet), Roy Price (VP, Amazon Studios), Rikard Steiber (President of Viveport, HTC Vive) and Ivana Kirkbride (go90’s Chief Content Officer).

Outside of keynotes, MIPTV also features a “Digital Fronts,” VR and brand tracks, and the International Emmy Kids Awards. More, Found Remote Executive Editor Natan Edelsburg will be moderating ‘The Future of VR is Social,’ featuring panelists from AltspaceVR, LIVELIKE, and VTIME.

With such an array of themes that will be covered at MIPTV, Found Remote over the next week will host a series of guest contributions previewing the market. Participating companies include app makers (Applicaster), analytics firms (Parrot Analytics, Ampere Analysis), kids content experts (WildBrain), and VR studios (REWIND), among many others.

We hope you enjoy, and if you’re in Cannes, come visit us at the Applicaster booth (Palais R7.J15)!
