Phone-hacking trial: The Drum adjourns coverage as blogger recovers in hospital
The Drum’s phone-hacking trial blogger, James Doleman, was taken to hospital on Tuesday with appendicitis.
Break: James Doleman is recovering in hospital
He was quickly operated on and he is recovering in hospital. As a result, The Drum’s daily phone-hacking trial coverage will take a break until he is back on his feet and fully recovered.
Despite the drama, our resilient and committed blogger still managed to file a morning report on Tuesday before he was rushed to hospital, and through a haze of heavy painkillers he insists he’ll be back in court in no time.
James has been in court for the trial every day since it began in October and he provides two daily court reports detailing all of the evidence heard in one of the biggest media trials Britain has ever seen.
We wish him a very speedy recovery.
All rise.
