The Old Bailey trial of six former staff members of the News of the World was halted again today due to the now defunct tabloid's former Royal editor being unfit to testify.

Unwell: Clive Goodman was taken to hospital on Friday

Clive Goodman, who is facing two charges of conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office, was taken ill while being cross-examined by counsel for the paper's former editor Andy Coulson. Court adjourned on Friday when he was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Goodman has so far given evidence that Coulson was shown transcripts of voicemails he had intercepted from members of the Royal household, including one from Prince Harry to his private secretary, and that he authorised payments to convicted phone-hacker Glenn Mulcaire.

The trial is expected to resume tomorrow. All of the defendants deny all of the charges.
