Now, I don’t know about you, but when I used to watch Yogi and Boo Boo frolicking in Jellystone Park, it didn’t involve bum fun.
This poster, advertising a 21st century rendition of our favourite ‘pic-a-nic’ pinching bear and his attempts to outwit Ranger Smith, is a classic example of Lost in Translation. What might work in America certainly doesn’t work in a cynical and puerile country like ours.
The composition of the two bears is unfortunate, topped off by a perfectly apt headline.
Well, I for one, shan’t be taking my kids to see this X-rated version. Poor Boo Boo. Though, he does seem to be enjoying it. Bless his little cotton socks.
