CES 2024 will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 9-12

As the glittering dust of the holiday season settles and the world reluctantly shuffles back to work, there’s a buzz in the air that’s anything but ordinary.

CES, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), hailed as the “most powerful tech event in the world,” is set to light up Las Vegas next week, and guess who’s returning to cover the seismic shifts in the industry? None other than The Drum, your go-to source for marketing news.

As The Drum dives headfirst into CES 2024, our mission is clear: to uncover the new year’s latest and greatest innovations during our Las Vegas Residency from January 9 to January 12.

Leading the charge is The Drum’s founder and editor-in-chief, Gordon Young. To uncover predictions for 2024, Gordon will be conducting interviews and taking meetings with leaders, while The Drum’s LA Reporter, Audrey Kemp, will be reporting live on the most promising emerging technologies on the ground, leaving no circuit unexplored.

In anticipation of CES 2024, Lena Petersen, chief brand officer and managing director at MediaLink, shared her thoughts with The Drum: “Brands have been drawn to the C Space for years to get inspired, convene and map out their annual strategies. Many will be back this year, and that’s attracting new players like the retail media networks and the streamers who are increasingly competing for ad dollars. The demand has been higher than ever. Themes we expect will dominate the conversations include AI’s impact on marketing, consumer privacy, retail media and streaming’s expansion, the booming creator economy, and tech’s impact on immersive brand experiences.”

Ronald Ng, global chief creative officer at MRM, shared some of his predictions with The Drum ahead of his IPG commerce panel: “2024 will be the year CES clearly expands beyond being a gadget geekfest to a showcase for technology to improve people’s experiences and lives. With AI powering everything and everything, I can’t wait to connect the dots between this year’s new technologies and brands in creative, inclusive and sustainable ways. This year, AI will supercharge the relationship between technology, brands and people more than ever before.”
