Heathrow flight path ads encourage travelers to explore Africa
St Luke’s follows up the airport’s winter destination campaign with out-of-home and print ads touting far-flung locations such as Cairo, Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Heathrow Airport is making a mark with the latest installment of its flightpath postcards, mapping out the range of destinations available from the London hub with an artistic interpretation of the routes followed by its planes.
The down to Earth approach sees routes through the sky mapped out on land in the form of a couple snaking their way across dunes or off-road vehicles churning up dirt while out on safari.

Meenal Varsani, head of marketing and customer engagement for Heathrow Airport, commented: “With this simple yet evocative campaign, we want to remind people that truly memorable trips begin at the airport while highlighting the inspiring and diverse range of destinations that Heathrow can offer people seeking to explore Africa.”
Positioning Heathrow as the UK’s gateway to the world the campaign brings the accessibility of far-flung locations including Cairo, Cape Town and Johannesburg to life.

The snow trails left behind by skiers formed the inspiration for Heathrow’s winter campaign, highlighting destinations such as Lyon, Geneva and Innsbruck.
The visual metaphor has been created by St Luke's, fresh from their Destination Ski campaign and will run across digital out-of-home, digital display, social and print nationally until mid-July.
