The award-winning actor, known for starring in the TV series Citadel, shows how well S.Pellegrino Essenza pairs with Italian food (and good company) in summertime.

Italian-American actor Stanley Tucci knows a thing or two about bringing La Dolce Vita (Italian for “sweet life“) to the states. As he says in a new ad from Nestlé’s Italian mineral water brand S. Pellegrino, it takes good people, good food and a little Mediterranean flavor.

Dubbed ‘Perfect Moments Secondi,’ S. Pellegrino’s new creative campaign revolves around S.Pellegrino Essenza, the brand’s flavored mineral water, and how to pair life’s perfect moments with it. It also continues a multi-year partnership between the brand and Tucci, which was first announced in February of 2022.

In a short spot, Tucci and friends dine on proscuitto, pizza and other Italian staples beneath the golden sun, possibly in the early evening. They cleanse their paletttes with laughs and sips of S. Pellegrino Essenza.

“As a brand deeply rooted in Italian culture, this new creative aims to bring the essence of Italy stateside,” Thomas Conquet, marketing director of S.Pellegrino, said in a statement. “From pizza nights at home to dining under the sun, we look forward to helping our consumers add a little sparkle to their summer occasions.”

From today until mid-October, six and 15-second spots will air across digital and social channels. Each part was created with S.Pellegrino’s lead creative agency Ogilvy.

“The Italian way of life is all about savoring life’s perfect moments - whether preparing a casual dinner at home, enjoying a picnic or sipping a midday coffee alfresco,” Tucci said. “S.Pellegrino Essenza is a natural part of those cherished moments - and I love that it allows me to add a touch of Mediterranean fruit flavor to my more casual dining occasions. As we continue our journey together, I look forward to encouraging fans to slow down and experience the perfect moments that occur when you pair good friends and good food with S.Pellegrino.”
