Edith Cowan University celebrates creativity, innovation and uniqueness in brand campaign
Creative thinkers aren't born; they're made, according to a new campaign by Western Australia's Edith Cowan University.
The 'Made Here' brand campaign, which was created in partnership with 72andSunny Sydney and director Simon Robson, aims to celebrate the university's commitment to fostering creative thinking in its students.
The film blends live-action filmmaking, 2D & 3D animation, Unreal Engine and a ost of moving-image techniques in a bid to create a "stream of consciousness viewing experience" that brings the magic of creative thinking to life.
The film aims to position ECU at the forefront of Australia's creative learning institutions, says Andy Flemming, CD & writer at 72andSunny.
“As ECU has a very creative and future-forward mindset, it deserved something a little different. After all, if each course has creativity baked in – it was appropriate to represent that with different forms of animation, design, illustration and game design.”
The film was a collaboration between a curated team of highly skilled studios and artists including director Simon Robson, EP Dave Kelly, ApeManRobot, Studio Showoff and Friendslike Co. The live-action production was facilitated by McFly Films, with post-production by The Cactus Stone Co.
