To celebrate Thailand's national holiday of Songkran, Five Star Chicken launched a heartwarming campaign reminding young people to put down their phone and connect with family.

The 'The taste that brings you home' campaign, created by BBDO Bangkok, enlisted the parents and grandparents of three famous Thai TikTokers and taught them how to create content.

The takeovers saw the parents and grandparents transform into travel vloggers, mini soap opera stars, and even Na'vi aliens from the movie Avatar in a bid to convince their TikTok famous children to come home for the holiday and share a family meal with them.

The Songkran holiday is a time when many Thai people visit their hometowns to reunite with family. The campaign film captures the experience of the young people seeing their older relatives on TikTok and then returning home with a bag of Five Star Chicken for a special family meal.

The film was directed by Teeraphol Suneta (aka Aei) from Suneta House, who also directed Five Star Chicken's 2022 hot campaign, 'The Movies That Made From Us'.

The film has already attracted more than 5.8 million views, 20K likes, and thousands of shares.

Thasorn Boonyanate, CCO of BBDO Bangkok, says,"For over 37 years, Five Star Chicken has been all about serving up delicious food that brings families together. With this campaign, we took it a step further by finding a creative way to grab the attention of the younger generation and encourage them to reconnect with their loved old ones over a shared meal."
