New work from Jersey Mike’s shows the actor double-dutching inside a restaurant and hiding in a kitchen, all in devotion to the chain’s sandwiches.

Danny DeVito, the award-winning actor known for his long acting stint in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, stars in a playful new ad campaign for Jersey Mike's.

The sandwich chain today released two new spots starring DeVito, entitled ‘Coolest Thing’ and ‘Painting.’

In ‘Coolest Thing,’ DeVito proclaims that watching Jersey Mike’s employees build subs is the coolest thing to watch, before demonstrating what the second-coolest thing to watch is: his complicated jump rope routine.

On the other hand, ‘Painting’ sees DeVito become so obsessed with the sandwich-making process at Jersey Mike’s, that he hides behind a conspicuously-placed painting in the kitchen to catch up-close sights and smells.

The actor has been building quite the portfolio of acting work in ads for Jersey Mike’s of late. For the brand’s March Madness campaign, DeVito trained its employees in a retro montage reprising Rocky III. In February, he starred in its Super Bowl LVII campaign.
