To mark Trans Day of Visibility, Gay Times has released a set of statements of solidarity to show the trans community of Britain they are supported.
Working with creative agency WongDoody the statements acknowledge the prejudice trans people still face, while also celebrating the community’s resilience in the face of online and press aggression.
The campaign features three statements. Statement one: “Dear Trans People, Whatever you might read from a noisy few in the papers or online, you deserve to be seen, to be loved, to exist. Don’t ever forget that. GAY TIMES x” Statement two: “Dear Trans People, We see you. We love you. GAY TIMES x” Statement three: “Dear Trans People, We are grateful for everything you give to the community, and the world. GAY TIMES x”
The font used throughout was inspired by queer and trans protest placards and the color palette utilizes colors from the trans flag.
