US Ad of the Day: Heinz asks fans to slow down its 0.57-second ad for DoorDash promo code
Heinz’s super-short ad reminds consumers that good things come to those who wait.
During the Pennzoil 400 race on Sunday, Heinz encouraged Nascar and ketchup lovers alike to slow things down.
The brand known for its slow-moving bottled ketchup aired a 0.57-second-long ad that, once paused or played back at a slower speed, reveals a hidden voucher code that takes $5 off of DoorDash orders.
Coming in at under one second long, Heinz’s ad is even shorter than Reddit’s Super Bowl LVI ad, which ran for five seconds. However, the record-holder for the shortest-ever ad is Seattle-based seafood restaurant chain Ivar’s, which aired a half-second regional ad in the 2009 Super Bowl.
Consumers can watch the ad at all different speeds, and uncover the DoorDash discount code for themselves, at www.HeinzEnjoyedSlow.com.
