Burger King Belgium’s latest campaign tells us God is a woman. And she likes the Whopper.

Upping the ante for its latest promotion, the brand is placing its signature burger on the grandest stage imaginable to make mere mortals drool.

Zipping through the cosmos at faster-than-light speed to bring new meaning to the term fast food, as it pays a visit to God surveying her single greatest creation.

Very loosely inspired by the element of fire, crucial to giving the flame-grilled Whopper its delicious smoky tang, the advert proceeds to introduce us to the goddess at the heart of it all.

Giving a brief rundown of each of the four elements in turn a mysterious seated figure declares that fire gives her the most pride before we fall back down to Earth to see a burger sizzling on a girdle.

In a statement, the burger chain wrote: “In a mystical film, Burger King presents God for the first time, not as a man but as a woman. This goddess at the origin of the world, installed in the daily life of mortals, presents us with the four elements composing the universe: earth, water, air and fire. Although these are all essential, she has, just like us, her little preference because she also likes the Whopper. We’ll let you guess which one it is.”

It’s the first TV campaign to be created for the chain by agency Buzzman.
