Famous ‘chefs’ Matty Matheson and Raekwon the Chef help out grocery shoppers in DoorDash’s Super Bowl LVII ad.

DoorDash has this morning unveiled its Super Bowl VII spot starring celebrity chef Matty Matheson of Hulu’s hit series The Bear and Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon the Chef.

In the 30-second spot, ’We get groceries’, Raekwon the Chef helps a customer shop for groceries. He hands her a carton of cream, which prompts her to quote a Wu-Tang classic: “Because cream rules everything around me?“

Matheson is also shown helping customers select the ripest pineapple. Both stars demonstrate how DoorDash has expanded its delivery services beyond just restaurants in its 10 years of business.

The spot was directed by Kitao Sakurai, who is most known for the 2012 Adult Swim series, The Eric Andre Show.

The campaign was created in partnership with The Martin Agency and Superette, DoorDash’s in-house creative studio. It will come to life on television, in-app, through paid digital, out-of-home activations, radio and more from February through June.
