The 60-second spot features icons Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Paul Stanley of Kiss and Gary Clark Jr.

Financial management software Workday has pulled out all the stops when it comes to star power. Its Super Bowl ad features five slightly-grumpy music legends who can’t quite wrap their heads around why people working in ‘typical’ jobs sometimes refer to themselves as ‘rockstars’.

In one scene, the Black Sabbath frontman takes on corporate America and sarcastically quips: “Oh Ted in finance, you’re a rockstar,” as he reminisces all of the “bad” things he’s done throughout his long career. Cherry Bomb singer Joan Jett also questions “do you know what it takes to be a rock star?” before sullenly strumming her guitar.

Jim Jenkins of O Positive directed the fun ad, alongside the creative agency Ogilvy. Jenkins is no stranger to big game ads having previously worked on Jeep’s Groundhog Day ad that starred Bill Murray.

This year marks the first time the company has created an in-game ad for the big event.
