Mastercard’s top marketer will head up the US jury, Tata Group’s brand custodian will oversee APAC and Burger King UK’s CMO is in charge in EMEA as The Drum celebrates the very best of global marketing.

The Drum Awards for Marketing are now open for entry

2023 will see The Drum’s biggest Marketing Awards to date, rewarding the industry’s finest work, people and companies across three dedicated live TV celebrations for the Americas, APAC and EMEA.

Fittingly for such a massive moment for the global marketing industry, three of the biggest names in global marketing will be heading up the awards juries.

First up, taking the helm of The Drum Awards for Marketing Americas is Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communications officer at Mastercard and the current president at the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA). Rajamannar will be joined on The Drum Awards for Marketing Americas jury by a stellar line-up of marketers from brands such as Snap Inc, Chipotle, LinkedIn and more.

Over at The Drum Awards for Marketing APAC, meanwhile, Harish Bhat, brand custodian for the Tata Group, will be leading the judges. Bhatt will head up a panel of experts from across the region, including marketers from Intel, Mars, AB InBev India, South China Morning Post and much more, as they celebrate APAC’s finest campaigns.

And overseeing the judges of The Drum Awards for Marketing EMEA is Katie Evans, chief marketing officer of Burger King UK. Evans will be joined at the judging by marketing mavens from the likes of M&S, Barclays, Condé Nast, Spotify, Mercedes-Benz, Adidas and much, much more.

Global footprint

The new awards format will see results announced in front of studio audiences and broadcast as live TV shows in May and June, bringing a global footprint to the existing Marketing Awards.

Diane Young, chief executive of The Drum, explains: “The Drum is now the second largest and fastest growing marketing platform in the world, so we are ideally placed to make the work famous and the people behind it famous. By broadcasting these shows as live TV, they reach an audience of thousands worldwide – in fact, they will rank among the world’s most-viewed marketing award ceremonies.”

The Drum Awards for Marketing are part of a global program that covers every part of the marketing ecosystem. As well as these regional awards, The Drum will host an annual Awards Festival that will take place in November and include competitions covering Content, Digital and Creative.

Entries for all three of The Drum Awards for Marketing’s regional competitions are now open and there is an early bird discount available until January 26.
