In Michelob Ultra’s Super Bowl LVII spot, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback revives Bill Murray’s iconic character in the classic comedy, Caddyshack.

Michelob Ultra has released a teaser for its highly anticipated Super Bowl LVII ad on YouTube and Tony Romo is definitely not playing football in it.

The Wieden+Kennedy-produced spot features sportscaster and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who plays Karl Spackler, the greenskeeper who was played by Bill Murray in the 1980 golf comedy Caddyshack.

To generate buzz around the campaign, the Anheuser-Busch InBev brand ran two additional 15-second teasers during the playoffs – ‘Ultra on tap’ featuring soccer star Alex Morgan and ‘Beer run’ starring boxer Canelo Alvarez – both of which ended on a QR code that redirects consumers to Instacart, where they can order the beer.
