Tech accessory brand Casetify has created a mesmerising kinetics chain-reaction machine to showcase its most protective phone case.

The Hong Kong-born brand partnered with Joseph’s Machines, a YouTube channel run by Joseph Herscher, a kinetic artist who specialises in making comical chain-reaction machines out of ordinary household items.

While demonstrating product benefits such as drop protection could be particularly boring, Casetify took a leaf out of Honda’s book to reinforce the message of the importance of phone cases.

The one-take video follows an iPhone 14 Pro on an unconventional journey to switch off its morning wake-up alarm. From teddy bears, to hammers, trains, rocks and hotdogs, the Bounce Case and the phone remain intact and protected.

The video, which took 61 takes to produce in a 6-stage hand-made obstacle course, was produced by Pavillion Works.

Avisha Gopal, senior manager of influencer content at Casetify, said, “At Casetify, we love championing creativity. Working with the world’s most genial creators puts our brand at the center of their great ideas, making complex and dry topics such as drop protection accessible to a wider audience”.
