US Ad of the Day: GoFundMe paints the power of donating in ‘The bigger picture’
In what appears to be an evocative moving painting, GoFundMe celebrates the power of community and one donation made on the platform each second of 2022.
To commemorate one donation made every second in 2022, crowdfunding platform GoFundMe today released ‘The bigger picture.’
The short film, developed by the WPP-owned agency AKQA, illustrates the positive impact that GoFundMe donors have on their communities in the unique style of an animated street mural.

It also documents the findings of GoFundMe’s ’Year in Help’ report, which found that a donation was made on the platform every single second of this year.
GoFundMe enlisted LA-based director Paul Trillo of production company ArtClass to generate the campaign’s unique brush stroke visuals using artificial intelligence, according to a statement from the brand.

“We wanted to bring to life this mural in a way where every frame looks like a painting,” Trillo said in a statement. ”This style of animation used in this project is something that could not have been achieved even just six months ago.”
