SNL star Heidi Gardner is visibly jolly about financial literacy and windfalls of cash in MoneyLion’s newest ad.

This holiday season, MoneyLion is giving away a cash bonus to those who “work their elfing asses off” as part of its ’Holiday bonus’ campaign.

To spread the word, the fintech enlisted Heidi Gardner to star in a one-minute spot highlighting its services and holiday sweepstakes. In the ad, the SNL cast member transforms from an elf into various hard workers, including a fast food worker, an elementary school teacher, a food delivery worker and a barista. Each is eligible for the cash prize and can benefit from MoneyLion’s products.

To participate in the sweepstakes, consumers can nominate someone they feel deserves a holiday bonus through MoneyLion’s social channels, giving the nominee a chance to win the cash bonus.

Gardner also informs the viewer about services available for the “elf employed,” which can bring their credit scores “from naughty to nice.”

The campaign is currently circulating across CTV, social media, within the MoneyLion app and website, email and NYC-based out-of-home (OOH) until December 30.

Malka Media, the creative agency behind MoneyLion’s 23XI Racing partnership starring Nascar driver Bubba Wallace, ideated and produced the campaign.
