Pizza Hut taps The Office star to tout its Melts, which are somewhere between a quesadilla and a calzone. Two things are for certain: they’re not pizzas – and they’re not to be shared with others.

Pizza Hut’s latest product drop isn’t a pizza – because pizzas are made for sharing. Instead, “Melts” are made for “me time,” according to the popular pizza chain’s newest campaign.

‘World of me’ is a 30-second spot that follows a young woman who travels through the city with a Pizza Hut Melt in hand. She soon notices that everyone else she meets is also her, from a flower vendor to a traffic cop. That is, everyone except for Craig Robinson, who at the end snacks on his own Melt in a ride share driver cameo and later supplies voice-over.

The leading actress, Oriana Siphanoum, created a TikTok discussing the commercial’s creative process, like why she wore a wig:

@orianasiphanoum Replying to @hileee_ dropping a BTS video of this commercial and process tomorrow!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - #greenscreensticker #pizzahut #pizzahutmelt #pizzahutmelts #greenscreenvideo #notforsharing #whyiseverythingme #thesurfaces #selftape #selftapeaudition #selftapeauditions #commercialactor #selftapes #actortok #commercialaudition @pizzahut ♬ original sound - ORIANA

Meanwhile, ‘Hands’ gives consumers a closer look at the crispy, cheesy product, which comes in four different flavors – Pepperoni Lover’s, Meat Lover’s, Buffalo Chicken and Chicken Bacon Parmesan – with a side of marinara dipping sauce at $6.99.

Both spots feature Surfaces’ “Sheesh!” which came out on TenThousand Projects last August. They begin airing on national television today and will also air across NBC's Sunday Night Football, Bachelor in Paradise, and College Gameday as well as digital channels, including YouTube, ESPN, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitch and others.

To kick off the launch of Melts, Pizza Hut is planning to be the official sponsor of the “Barstool Sports Invitational,” a college basketball tournament, in Philadelphia on November 11. During the game, the brand will intersperse logo integrations and Melts advertisements both on the court and in the game broadcast on Barstool.tv.

Pizza Hut's agency of record, GSD&M, created the campaign.
