Candy Crush maker King has marked the 10th anniversary of the sugar-coated app by teaming up with Meghan Trainor for a sweet-toothed music video.

Candy Crush Saga is celebrating its 10th anniversary

Accompanying the Grammy-winning artist’s new single Made You Look, the in-depth partnership will see the song debuted exclusively in-game for 24 hours, during which time players will be able to swipe candies with Trainor to unlock bonuses.

A ‘Candified Trainor’ will lend her vocal talents to the app throughout this period to voice encouragement to players through phrases such as ‘sweet’ and ‘tasty.’

Fernanda Romano, chief marketing officer at King, said: “Working with Meghan Trainor on this unique collaboration is thrilling for our fans. Her music is uplifting and provides listeners with a ‘sweet escape’ – just like Candy Crush Saga. As part of our 10th anniversary, we’re excited to celebrate with our players around the world through exclusive content, as well as more fun surprises to come.”

The super-sweet music video charts a day in the life of Trainor as she balances filming and awards presentations with the press junket, with cameos from dancer and singer JoJo Siwa, TikTok personality Chris Olsen, curve model and content creator Remi Bader and TikTok personality Drew Afualo.

Trainor famously had a music video for her single Me Too scrapped after discovering producers had manipulated her image to appear slimmer without her consent.
