Ad of the Day: Elizabeth Banks mocks the metaverse in Archer Roose spot
Archer Roose Wines pokes fun at the metaverse in its latest ad that features actor Elizabeth Banks.

‘Into the Metaverse’ begins with Banks, who is also the brand’s co-owner and chief creative officer, in her kitchen wearing a pair of funky glasses as she states that everything around her looks ‘so real.’
As her confused friend joins her in the kitchen, she asks why the Hunger Games actress is wearing her sunglasses. Adding to the hilarity, Banks hands her friend a vase – or as she calls it, a non-fungible token.
It’s a tongue-in-cheek campaign that plays on the fact that not a lot of people can pinpoint what the metaverse actually is, and positions Archer Roose as a product that’s best enjoyed in the real world with real-world people.
